SUICIDE INTERVENTION and PREVENTION
3 Hours - AUDIO CD & Text
Assessment and interviewing skills, the 4 primary motivations, treating stress and depression, intervention and prevention ideas.
RECOVERY: TRAUMA, SHOCK & PTSD
6 Hours - DVD VIDEO & Text
When a crisis or disaster strikes, the lingering effects can be devastating without proper treatment.
(This course Requires access to a DSM-IV. The DSM is not included with the materials.)
ISSUES IN FAMILY VIOLENCE
3 Hours - AUDIO CD & Text
Safe interventions for helping both the victim and the perpetrator; stopping generational cycles of abuse, safety plans, more.
DEATH, GRIEF and LOSS
3 Hours - DVD Video & Text
Loss and grief due to illness, death, divorce, and change will all be discussed. Methods of guiding clients through the stages of grief will be explored.
#5 ETHICS: IN CRISIS SITUATIONS
3 Hours - AUDIO CD & Text
A model for resolving ethical considerations in crisis situations, i.e. suicide and more.
This CE-CEU-CNE program is appropriate for all mental health professional counseling counselors (LPC, LCPC, LPCC, MHC, RMHC, NCC), marriage and family therapy therapists (MFT, LMFT, RMFT), social work social workers (SW, LCSW, LMSW, SWA, LICSW), psychologists, psychology associates (LPA), chemical dependency substance abuse counselors (LCDC, CADC, CAD, DAC, CAAD, CSAC), and nursing registered nurses (RN, LPN, LVN), and related behavioral health professionals.

Once you have read and watched or listened to all of the course materials, you will complete and return to us the Evaluation of Learning Quiz, which asks questions about the coursework, and the Application for Certification. Questions will be in True/False and/or brief essay format.
We will then send your CEU certificate and your Certification designation certificates via mail.
