Destructive behavior habits are hard to break, and difficult clients are often hard to manage, and can lean to professional burnout.

This course explores a variety of challenging client conditions and situations and offers targeted assessment and intervention strategies designed to overcome client resistance, eliminate denial, increase motivation and follow-through, maximize client strengths and assist the professional with necessary self-care.

The 18-hour certification course content is comprised of the following 6 core educational components:

BRIEF THERAPY - PATIENT EDUCATION
3 Hours - AUDIO CD & Text
Understand the practical value and intricacies of effective Brief Therapy, combined with the importance of providing Patient Education to enhance client compliance and aid in recovery/change progress.

OBSESSIVE / COMPULSIVE DISORDERS
3 Hours - AUDIO CD & Text
Learn to differentiate between Ob/Com Anxiety Disorder (OCD) and Ob/Com Personality Disorder (OCPD). Understand assessment principles and learn practical intervention strategies for both. (Note: This course requires access to a DSM-IV. The DSM is not included.)

DIAGNOSIS: EVIL - IN CLINICAL SETTINGS

A Fascinating Course!! Explore the presence of evil in clinical settings - and find solutions. Evil is more than mean behaviors. Discuss criteria including malignant narcissism, lack of love, self-serving motivations, and more. (This is praxeological human evil, not what we think of as traditional spiritual or religious evil - no devils with horns.)
